Ok, I will assume you´ve chosen an erudite as your race and top base intelligence 142. That´s the way your character should be set up.
Since Int and mana bonus items are what you should be seeking for, I´ll describe a list of fairly cheap items you could purchase in order to hit Int 200. Farther Int will hardly increase mana, so no real need of it.
Theese items I´m going to list now are not the best of the game, neither the most wanted. They are just the most economical way to reach Int 200 with a tight budget. Once you become rich, you´ll probably sell away all theese items in order to buy new and more spectacular ones, but for now they´ll work just fine. Once you have hit 200 int, you might probably want magic, fire, cold, poison and disease resistance bonus items, in order to resist caster´s spells ( either in your preys hunting as when dueling). A high magic resistance is as important as a high int !!
But now, look for items to start with :
1. Ear slot : Stud earing (+3 int, 30 pp)
2. Neck slot : Petrified erudite heart amulet (+5 int, 450 pp)
3. Head slot : Runed circlet (+4 int, 350 pp)
4. Face slot : Bone sheer mask (+3 int, 350 pp)
